Mr. Karan Mehra

Karan Mehra was always studious, academically inclined and a perfectionist.  Being a topper from his school days, Karan’s potential was recognized even by his school board, which awarded a scholarship to him after his attainment of educational success in the subject of Economics.

Karan Mehra did his law from ILS Law College, Pune, where he also attained Diplomas in Corporate Laws, Taxation Laws and also in Cyber Laws.

Prior to his becoming the Managing Partner to VMCO, Karan was associated with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co for 3 years and with the prestigious Chambers of Mr Amarjeet Singh Chandhiok, Senior Advocate, for another 3 years.

Karan Mehra is an extremely intellectual and ardent Advocate with a proven expertise in the field of Dispute Resolution and Arbitration pertaining to corporate and commercial laws, oil and natural gas disputes, telecom disputes, mergers and acquisitions and other similar laws.

He has been practicing before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts across the Country, NCLTs, NCLATs, NCDRC, RERA Tribunals, as well as several other Tribunals and Forums for a period of over 18 years.

Additionally, he has considerable expertise in cross-border arbitrations and has represented well-established companies and conglomerates before various International Fora, where he has been sufficiently triumphant.

The various esteemed clients that have been represented by Karan, during his 18 years of practice include Mcdonald’s, HMEL, GE T&D India Limited, Vedanta Limited, Schneider Electric, Cosco India Limited, Jaguar Overseas Limited, ICICI Lombard, and the Writer Corporation.

In addition to this, Karan has also represented well-established companies in landmark cases, including his appearance for Meta Inc. (formerly known as Facebook Inc.) in the Shreya Singhal Case and for Motorola Inc in an international Arbitration held at Singapore.

Presently, along with his duties as the Managing Partner of the Firm, Karan also holds the position of the Co-Chairperson of the NCLT & IBC Committee of the PHD Chambers of Commerce & Industry and is regularly engaged as a speaker for the events organized by the Retailers Association of India.
